In Praise of the Pelican

(Click on pictures for a closer look.)

"A marvelous bird is the pelican,

His beak can hold more than his belly can.

He can hold in his beak

Enough food for a week,

And I don't know how the h--- he can!"

My neighbor, here at the coast, introduced me to this little limerick.   She assures me that if you say the rhyme every time you see a pelican, you will become the most annoying person in town!  But seriously, we love our pelicans here.  They add a note of grace and dignity to the seaside.  You can add the same thing to your indoor or outdoor decor with our lovely carved pelican.

Wonderful Watercolor!

(Click on pictures for a closer look.)

Come see our gallery of original art to add a touch of beauty to your walls.  We have a set of 5 framed marine life paintings by well-known artist, Tracy Taylor.  According to the Jim Warren Studios website,

Taylor's work invites viewers to share [her] sense of lighthearted enjoyment.  She is perhaps best known for her exuberant, expressive paintings of tropical fish...  Tracy Taylor captures the vitality of the undersea world and the personality of its denizens--allowing collectors to experience them both without getting wet.

You can read more about Tracy Taylor and see more examples of her work here.
