Here at the South Texas coast, the light is fantastic.  Being in the lower latitudes, the sun's rays are more direct, and they make everything look brighter.  The play of the sun on the water is gorgeous, and we love our shiny glass art objects, to continue the vision indoors.  Bring one home, place it near a window, and watch it glow!

Repurposed Furniture

Here at Just Looking, we love repurposed furniture.  We just got two new pieces, which have a great coastal / nautical look.  The bench, above, was made by a local artisan, using an old baby crib.  The coffee table below is an electrical spool, to which we added a wash of blue wood stain and some seafaring trim--perfect for a man cave.
